Morgan City man accused of unauthorized use of debit card

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:

—Brant Michael Percle, 34, of Hilda Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:27 a.m. Friday on a warrant for unauthorized use of an access card as theft. A deputy located Percle at his residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into unauthorized purchases made by Percle on a company debit card. The unauthorized purchases total over $650. Percle was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.

—Robert C. Beatty, 62, of Stephenson Lane in Centerville, was arrested at 7:44 p.m. Friday for disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person at the Patterson Truck Stop. Upon arrival, the complainant stated that a subject walked into her Shannon Street home without permission and then began walking towards the truck stop. The deputy located the subject, identified as Beatty, and noticed the odor of alcohol on his breath. Following an investigation, Beatty was taken to the parish jail and held. His bail is set at $250.

—Michael Stiles, 33, of First Street in Patterson, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated and careless operation. A deputy observed a vehicle turn erratically without using turn signal off of La. 182 and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Stiles, the deputy observed the odor of alcohol on his breath. During the investigation, Stiles performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered .14 grams-percent on the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath test, the report stated. Stiles was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.

—Aryan Alberto Vasquez, 26, of Grizzaffi Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:51 a.m. Sunday for driving while intoxicated, improper lane usage, unlawful possession of fraudulent documents, and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. A deputy observed a vehicle swerving from lane to lane onto the shoulder of La. 182 in Amelia and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, identified as Vasquez, the deputy noticed the odor of alcohol on his breath, the report stated. Vasquez performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered .147 grams-percent on the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath test. Also during the investigation, Vasquez provided an invalid Texas identification card. Vasquez was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.

—Jonathan Dake, 18, of Camille Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Sunday for criminal damage to property (more than $500) and criminal trespassing.

—Kendall Banks, 17, of Mike Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. Sunday for criminal damage to property (more than $500) and criminal trespassing.

A deputy responded to a complaint of property damage on Zenor Road. Upon arrival the deputy learned from the complainant that a truck was doing donuts on his property causing damage to the land. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Dake, and the passenger, identified as Banks. Following the investigation, both Dake and Banks were taken to the parish jail and held. Both were released on a $1,250 bail.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:

—Gonzalez Perez, 29, of Trevino Street in Berwick, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Friday for careless operation of a motor vehicle with a crash, failure to transfer title, no proof of insurance, expired license plate and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the U.S. He was taken to jail and held with no bail set.

—Erving Jones, 29, of Utah Street in Berwick, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. Friday for disturbing the peace. He was released on $150 bail.

—Lisa Knight, 50, of Utah Street in Berwick, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. Friday for disturbing the peace. She was released on $150 bail.

—Samson McKinley, 25, of Driskill Drive in Berwick, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. Friday for disturbing the peace. McKinley was released on $150 bail.

Patterson police arrests:

—Pebbles Francois, 47, of Everett Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:35 a.m. Thursday for failure to yield and no driver’s license. Francois was released on recognizance per A.C. Stevenson.

—William Roberson, 51, of Live Oak Street in Patterson, was arrested at 4:28 a.m. Friday for criminal damage to property. Roberson paid a fine and was released.

—Steven Williamson, 29, of Riverview Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 7:44 a.m. Friday for suspended driver’s license, failure to yield with an accident. Williamson paid a fine and was released.

—Lelia Lane, 37, of Highway 90 in Franklin, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for simple damage to property. Lane was transferred to Morgan City jail.
