Lady Panthers record 4 wins this weekend

Berwick High School’s Sydney Aucoin throws to first base for an out during the Lady Panther’s contest against Morgan City Friday night, while teammate Rennen DeLatte looks on. Aucoin earned the win for the Lady Panthers in the contest, one of five games the team played this weekend. The Lady Panthers also defeated Captain Shreve Friday and St. Charles Saturday, while the squad fell to Kaplan Saturday evening. Also, Friday, Berwick concluded a contest against New Iberia suspended from earlier last week and won the contest.

The Berwick Lady Panthers won four of five games this weekend — three at their Lady Panther Classic and the fourth, a conclusion of a makeup game.

Sixth inning dooms Lady Panthers

CCHS finishes 2-0 this weekend

Central Catholic High School finished 2-0 this weekend at the inaugural Tri-City Baseball Classic. The Eagles defeated Covenant Christian Friday before run-ruling Northside Saturday. Against Northside, brothers Charlie

Tigers fall to Green Devils

Morgan City High School’s Tywuan Walker dribbles while Plaquemine’s Jamie Lawless defends during Friday’s Class 4A bi-district playoff game. Morgan City, the No. 29 seed, fell to No. 4 seed Plaquemine 57-37. Morgan City concludes its season with a 16-9 mark, while Plaquemine improves to 24-6.
