Central Catholic gets win April 22

The Morgan City High School Tigers were defeated by Vandebilt Catholic 11-5 in prep baseball play Wednesday at Tiger Diamond. Marquise Charles attempts to get a hit during game action. The Tigers are in action against Assumption in Napoleonville today with the game scheduled for 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Morgan City girls tennis team is regional runner-up

Morgan City High School Lady Tigers advanced two doubles teams and one singles participant to the Division II state tournament, which will be held April 30-May 1 in Monroe. The Morgan City High School girls tennis team finished as regional runner-up at the Region II 4A Regional Tennis Tournament earlier this week at Renaissance Family Fitness in Houma.

Chenevert signs with Tougaloo College

Morgan City High School basketball standout Casey Chenevert has signed to continue her basketball career at Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, Mississippi. Chenevert held a signing ceremony Friday at Morgan City High. She is one of seven Morgan City athletes this season that will be continuing their careers past high school in their respective sports next year. (The Daily Review/Geoff Stoute)
