Morgan City council meets tonight
MORGAN CITY, La. — The Morgan City City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the city court building.
The agenda includes finance committee recommendations for the fire department to purchase a new fire truck in 2012 and for the public works department to purchase a new backhoe in 2012. In other business, there will be a public hearing of the 2012 Budget Amendment Ordinance and 2013 Budget Ordinance and public hearing of the zoning and land development code.
Michael Hankins will discuss the auditorium property surplus. The council will hear a first reading of four ordinances: a transformer cost recovery surcharge, issuance and sale of refunding bonds, repair material and a recreational vehicle parking prohibition.
The council will hear an update on the Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map Appeal. a resolution to change order number 4, the Sanitary Sewer State Revolving Fund Program, a resolution for the Victor II Boulevard paving improvement project, a resolution on the Government Accounting Standards Board 45 Actuarial Services and a resolution to acknowledge issuance of Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association bonds. The 2013 Class A and B Liquor License Renewals are also on the agenda.
