Metairie man arrested in Bayou Vista for domestic abuse battery
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Jonathon Meaux, 27, of Downs Street in Metairie, was arrested at 8:41 p.m. Thursday at Walmart in Bayou Vista for theft, resisting an officer and on a New Orleans Police Department warrant for domestic abuse battery. Deputies were called to Walmart in reference to a theft of about $487.44 worth of merchandise. During the investigation, Meaux attempted to flee but stopped, Hebert stated. He was taken to parish jail and held. No bail was set as of the news release.
—Eugene Leblanc, 18, of Elaine Street in Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested at 1:58 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug without a prescription (Bactrim). No bail was set as of the news release.
—Raven Tyler Mayon, 17, of Lake Palourde Road in Amelia, was arrested at 1:58 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a legend drug without a prescription (Bactrim), and possession of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile. No bail was set as of the news release.
Around 1:20 p.m. Thursday, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s narcotics division detectives went to Lake Palourde Road in Amelia to assist Assumption Parish Sheriff’s detectives with an investigation.
Detectives received consent to search the residence after an odor of illegal narcotics was detected with detectives locating marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and legend drug (Bactrim), Hebert stated. Mayon and Leblanc were placed under arrest. A juvenile was also located inside the residence. Mayon and Leblanc were taken to the parish jail and held.
—Maria Landry, 28, of Elise Court in Pierre Part, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for altered prescription.
Around 2:30 p.m., it was learned that Landry turned herself in at the Law Enforcement Center due to having an outstanding warrant for her arrest through Louisiana State Police. No bail was set as of the news release.
—Donna Reed, 42, of Saturn Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 2:03 p.m. Thursday at Walmart in Bayou Vista for theft of various items of merchandise with approximate value of $75.85. Deputies were called to Walmart for a suspect concealing items in her purse. During investigation, a warrant for Reed was discovered. She was also arrested for failure to appear on charge of domestic abuse battery but that charge was later recalled. She was taken to the parish jail and held. Reed was released on $250 bail.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—Kenyatta Soma Scott Sr., 37, of Jamie Court in Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested at 9:12 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for a probation violation and on a warrant for failure to appear to pay Probation Fees.
Scott was in jail in Assumption Parish and was taken to the Morgan City Police Department. Bail is set at $675.
—Lane Howard Sr., 39, of Easy Street in Franklin, was arrested at 11:10 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.
Howard was being held at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and was taken to the Morgan City Police Department. No bail information was available. Howard is still being held.
—Donald J. Rock Jr., 36, of Louisa Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:42 a.m. today on a warrant for possession of marijuana second offense and a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Aucoin Street in reference to a disturbance. While heading to the call, officers were advised that one of the subjects involved in the incident left the area on a motorcycle. Officers located and stopped a motorcycle in the area driven by Rock. Officers ran a check of warrants for Rock, and found that he had outstanding warrants. He was taken to the Morgan City Police Department for booking. No bail information was available. Rock is still being held.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Justin Sons, 22, of Park Street in Patterson, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. Thursday for solicitation for money. Sons was released on $150 bail.
