Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary for Mark Craig Phillips, 57, a native of Lake Charles, longtime former resident of Pensacola, Florida, and a resident of Franklin for the past 28 years, who passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home. Burial will follow in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Father Thomas Vu will officiate the services.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Lydia Chauvin Phillips of Franklin; four children, Steven C. Phillips and his wife Ashley, of New Iberia; Heather L. Phillips and her fiancé, Jeremy Bourque, of Jeanerette; Kimberly L. Phillips and Matthew R. Phillips, both of Franklin; his mother, Marion McCory Phillips Smith and her husband, Bill, of Pensacola, Florida; one brother, Ray Dean Phillips and his wife, Denise, of Pensacola, Florida; one nephew; Brian Phillips and his wife, Rebecca, of Pensacola, Florida; one niece, Sara P. Mroz and her husband, Leonard, of Atlanta, Georgia; and his parents-in-law, Donald Chauvin Sr. and Trudy Pontiff Chauvin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Shepherd Ray Phillips.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 9 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steven C. Phillips, Matthew Ray Phillips, Donald Chauvin Sr., Donald Chauvin Jr., Jeremy Bourque, Todd Chauvin and Brian Phillips.
