Man arrested on warrants for more than 30 counts of bad checks
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Jeffery Scott Lambert, 38, of La. 182 East in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:01 a.m. Thursday on warrants for 37 counts of issuing worthless checks and failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area located Lambert at his residence on the warrants. Lambert was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
—Delone Miller, 50, of North Bayou Black Drive in Gibson, was arrested at 8:10 p.m. Thursday for taillights required, driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of Schedule IV (Valium), and on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle without proper taillights and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the driver and identified him as Miller. During the investigation, detectives located marijuana, Valium and drug paraphernalia items, the report stated. Miller was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
—Eddie Ray Gray, 20, of B. Hickory Street in Patterson, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for simple criminal damage to property, remaining where forbidden, and no child restraint. Gray turned himself in to the sheriff’s office in Morgan City after learning of the warrant for his arrest. Gray was taken to the parish jail and held. He was released on $1,750 bail.
—Edgar Dela Rosa, 26, of Second Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:47 a.m. Friday for failure to signal, license plate light required, operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States, and switched license plate. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto La. 182 and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver who was unable to produce any type of identification. During the investigation, the deputy learned that the driver was in the United States illegally and that the license plate on the vehicle did not match the description of the vehicle. Dela Rosa was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set.
—Louis Anthony Concienne Jr., 42, of Gail Street in Patterson, was arrested at 3:24 p.m. Thursday for possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute. Narcotics detectives and Berwick police officers conducted a joint narcotics investigation at the Hollywood Truck Stop in Berwick. Officers received a complaint involving illegal narcotics activity. During the investigation, detectives and officers located Concienne inside the casino area of the business and found him to be in possession of methamphetamine, the report stated. Concienne was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
