Man accused of pulling gun on his child’s mother
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests over the weekend, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:
—Jonathan Landry, 40, of Mount Street, Berwick, was arrested at his residence at 6:26 p.m. Sunday for aggravated assault. He is alleged to have pointed a gun at his child’s mother at Murphy USA. Landry was located at his residence, arrested, and brought to the parish jail where he was released on $1,000 bail.
—Jody Cubbedge Jr., 36, of Carol Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:53 a.m. Friday at 9752 La. 182, Amelia, on a failure-to-appear warrant for original charge of improper turn signals. He was jailed with bail set at $319.50 and ordered held for parole violation.
—Pamela Hubler, 49, of Third Street, Berwick, was arrested at her residence at 9 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of a prescription drug without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. She remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Jody Cubbedge Sr., 54, of Third Street, Berwick, was arrested at his residence at 9 a.m. Sunday for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a summons to appear in court.
—Thomas Cook, 29, of Main Street, Patterson, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. Friday on Canton Street in Berwick on a warrant for probation violation of failure to follow terms and conditions of probation on an original charge of possession of synthetic cannabinoids. He was jailed and later released on $5,000 bail.
—Ricky Watts, 24, of Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:38 p.m. Saturday at Fifth and Freret streets in Morgan City on failure-to-appear warrants for revocation hearing on charge of distribution of marijuana and a charge of possession of marijuana and a probation violation warrant. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Robert Taylor, 28, of Mars Street, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:53 a.m. Sunday on La. 182 in Morgan City on charges of simple burglary, unauthorized entry of a place of business, possession of burglary tools, illegal possession of stolen things, criminal trespassing, simple criminal damage to property, resisting an officer by flight, and resisting an officer by providing false information. Deputies had been dispatched to an alarm call and upon arrival were met by the business owner. Deputies entered the business and located Taylor, the report stated. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Brady Oncale, 17, of Mike Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Sunday at Walmart in Bayou Vista for theft of goods, which were valued at $19.96. He was issued a summons to appear in court.
—Edwin Calloway, 31, of First Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:12 p.m. Friday on Fifth Street in Morgan City for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, obstruction of justice, transactions involving drug proceeds, open container and no driver’s license. Agents seized $258 in currency, pending forfeiture. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Tyler Osburn, 20, of Dale Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:59 p.m. Friday on Third Street, Morgan City, for possession of schedule II (Adderal). He was stopped because he failed to use a turn signal when turning onto Freret Street from the exit ramp off of U.S. 90. He was jailed and released on a $5,000 bail.
—Lori Falls Thompson, 50, of Young Street, Berwick, was arrested at her residence at 4:45 p.m. Friday for possession of schedule IV Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of synthetic cannabinoids second offense. The arrest was made after multiple complaints about illegal narcotics activity occurring at the residence. She remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—A male juvenile, 14, of Patterson, was arrested at 11:52 a.m. Sunday on charges of theft of a cell phone and damage to property. Investigators interviewed the juvenile with his parent, and the phone was recovered damaged. He was released to a guardian with possible juvenile court action.
Two individuals living on Canal Road in Bayou Vista were arrested at the residence at 8 a.m. Saturday for domestic abuse battery committed upon each other. Arrested were Antonio Campbell, 24, who remains jailed, and Shatoya Charles, 24, released on payment of bail.
Two people were arrested at 1:09 a.m. Sunday for disturbing the peace by fighting. Both were released on bails of $250. They are Joshua Flores, 37, of La. 182, Morgan City, and Joshua Eldridge, 19, of Tanger Lane, Conroe, Texas.
The Patterson Police Department reports the following arrests over the weekend, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:
—Cyrilla Lyons, 47, of Wedell Street, Patterson, was arrested at her residence at 8:19 a.m. Sunday for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on $3,500 bail.
—John Lyons, 47, of Wedell Street, Patterson, was arrested at his residence at 8:19 a.m. Sunday for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $3,500 bail.
—Ronald L. Bennett, 49, of Morrison Street, Patterson, was arrested at 11:16 p.m. Friday at Plum and Taft streets for failure to stop at a stop sign and no driver’s license. He was released on $364 bail.
—Quinary L. Toups, 32, of Wheelis Lane, Bayou Vista, was arrested Friday at the Patterson Police Department on a warrant for possession of stolen things. He is alleged to have stolen a men’s ring with three diamonds, a pocket watch with chain, two pocket watches that open and close on top, two wedding bands with diamonds; some of the items were found at a local jewelry store, and receipts indicating that Toups sold the jewelry to the store were obtained. The total value of the missing items is $2,900, and further charges are pending on Toups. A bail amount is not yet available.
—Dallas Bodin Jr., 49, of Dallas Drive, New Iberia, was arrested on Catherine Street in Patterson at 10:34 p.m. Saturday for a suspended driver’s license, no tail lights, and violation of an open container law. He was released on a paid fine of $604.
The Berwick Police Department reported one arrest over the weekend, according to Chief James Richard:
—Roberto Quintanilla, 36, Pines Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:59 p.m. Friday on La. 182 near Berwick Junior High School for driving under suspension, red light violation, a failure-to-appear warrant from the 32nd Judicial Court for speeding, a failure-to-appear warrant from the 16th Judicial Court for angling without license. He remains jailed awaiting bond.
