PATTERSON — The St. Mary Chamber of Commerce awarded scholarships to eight high school graduates at its annual education and appreciation banquet.

Parish NAACP looks into jail complaints

The St. Mary Parish branch of the NAACP is investigating allegations that several inmates in the parish jail didn’t receive proper medical care while incarcerated.
