M C Bank Hometown Spirit Scholarship

M C Bank presents a $1,500 scholarship annually to one senior at each of the four area high schools. The intention behind this award is to recognize students who have been active both in their school and their communities. The major emphasis in arriving at a winner is the appreciation that student has for his or her hometown. Brown plans to attend Louisiana State University.

100 Black Men scholarships

Several students were recognized by the 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish during Thursday’s St. Mary Chamber of Commerce annual Education and Appreciation Night. Each student received a $750 scholarship.
