Law enforcement officers honored

Law enforcement officers were recognized Tuesday night by the St. Mary Detachment Marine Corps League at American Legion Post 242 in Patterson. Honored and seated with their plaques are, from left, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Capt. Joe Clements, Berwick police officer Jonathan Henry, Morgan City police officer Dustin Fromenthal, Chitimacha tribal police officer Det. Sgt. The Breeze Yogurt Shop ribbon-cutting ceremony

The Breeze Yogurt Shop located at 6402 La. 182 East in Morgan City held its ribbon-cutting ceremony April 2. The shop, open from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, sells a variety of frozen yogurt along with specialty toppings. On hand for the ribbon cutting were, from left, Cherie Laiche, St. Mary Chamber of Commerce ambassador; Cliff Couture, KQKI; Kevin Voisin, St. Mary Parish councilman; Lily Dearman, Kristen Crews and Kassie Roy, The Breeze Yogurt Shop and Tropical Smoothie employees; Aimee and Paul Arcemont, owners; Tommy Longman, District Attorney’s Office representative; Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi, Morgan City mayor; Donna Meyer, chamber president and Lisa Nezat Patterson, chamber marketing manager.
