Walgreens opens doors in Franklin

Grand opening ceremonyies were held this morning at the new Walgreens located at 2030 Main St. at the corner of Northwest Boulevard in Franklin.
The new 14,600 square-foot store introduces the company’s new “well experience” format to Franklin and will serve as a destination for health and daily living, offering a wide-range of products and services.
The store’s well experience format means every aspect centers on the idea of “well.” At its core is the pharmacy where the pharmacist can provide more counseling to patients, offer clinical services and answer questions.
The new pharmacy offers a consultation room, a drive through and an Express RX and self-serve kiosk which allow customers to quickly pick up and pay for prescription refills.
The new store has open air ceilings, lower shelving and under-shelf lighting and offers a wide selection of beer, wine and spirits.
Individuals and small businesses can take advantage of the new full digital photo lab complete with three self-serve kiosks with instant print and the ability to print posters.
The store also features web pickup, which allows customers to shop online at walgreens.com and pick up their order at the store. The store will be open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Pharmacy hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
