The Marine Corps League, St. Mary Detachment 600, stands with members of the Marine Corps Band of New Orleans Tuesday night at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium prior to A Very Marine Christmas concert benefiting Toys for Tots. St. Mary Detachment Toys for Tots coordinator Bill Goessl said, “The cash and checks donated combined with the multiple toys that were brought in by guests at last night’s concert were enough to total over 1,500 toys. The funds raised and toys collected will all be used by the St. Mary Detachment to help fulfill the wish lists of local children during Christmas.” From left, Marine Corps League members Bobbie Darce, Bill Goessl and Tim David; Marine Corps Band of New Orleans members bandmaster MSgt.
