Motorcyclist hurt in Bayou Vista crash

A 21-year-old Bayou Vista man suffered a broken arm, leg and pelvis after his motorcycle ran into a fence Sunday evening on Old Spanish Trail, Berwick Police Chief James Richard said.
Police received a call at 6:10 p.m. Sunday and responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the 1300 block of Old Spanish Trail, Richard said.
The motorcycle was driven by Blake Dinger, 21, of Bayou Vista. The motorcycle was reported traveling at a high-rate of speed passing another vehicle when the driver lost control, left the roadway and struck a fence, Richard said.
Dinger was ejected from the motorcycle and airlifted to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Center in Baton Rouge due to his injuries, Richard said.
Dinger was listed in stable condition after the crash, Richard said. Citations are pending after Dinger is released from the hospital, the chief said.
