Franklin City Council meets Tuesday
Franklin City Council members meet tonight in regular session for December.
Guests include Hal and Kerie Titus, 919 South Luke Drive; St. Mary Council on Aging Executive Director Beverly Domengeaux with the agency’s annual report; and Renarda Loston, 107 Talbot St., no topic specified on the agenda.
Office of Development Director Arlana Shields is scheduled to list the Christmas Parade golf cart awards.
The council will consider introduction of an ordinance allowing private construction of mausoleums in part of the city cemetery. An ordinance for adoption renews city liquor licenses.
Resolutions include a temporary noise ordinance suspension at 919 South Luke Drive; authorizing legal counsel to certify signatures and other forms for a housing rehabilitation grant; authorizing a grant application; and authorizing transfer of ownership of the National Guard Armory on Cynthia Street to the St. Mary Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness.
Mayor Raymond Harris is slated to appoint Sam Hanagriff to the Zoning Board Of Adjustments.
The council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall on Iberia Street.
