DARE graduation at Holy Cross Elementary

DARE graduation was held at Holy Cross Elementary School as sixth-grade students completed a 10-week course that gives students the skills they need to resist peer pressure and avoid involvement with alcohol, tobacco, drugs and bullying. Holy Cross sixth grade DARE graduates and the DARE Essay Contest winners in Caridad Blum’s class: third place, Andrew Duval; second place, Taylor Blanchard; first place, Michael-Anthony Hill. Winners in Dottie Thimmesch’s class: first place, Symone Wiggins; second place, Joseph Blanchard; third place, Lexi Landry. Also present were Morgan City Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi; Morgan City Chief of Police Travis Crouch and DARE officer Janada Price.
