Local police release Tuesday arrest reports
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests Tuesday, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:
—Kathleen Waltman, 40, of Pharr Street, Berwick, arrested at 9:48 a.m. Tuesday on Belleview Street in Bayou Vista for resisting an officer by flight. Upon learning of her drug court revocation, she fled from a deputy at Fairview Treatment Center in Bayou Vista. Incarcerated with no bond set.
—Ebony M. Charles, 21, of Nora T. Lane, Schriever, arrested at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday for criminal trespass. A deputy was called to Wal-Mart in Bayou Vista when the store manager alleged that Charles attempted to steal an air condition unit and then ran from the store leaving the merchandise and her wallet. Charles later contacted the SMPSO in order to retrieve her wallet and was then located by deputies. Charles was issued a summons to appear in court on Oct. 4.
—Murray Bridget Jr., 34, of Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Patterson, arrested at home at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday on warrants for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I (MDMA or Ecstasy) with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled-dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and violation of CDS law (drug free zone). The charges are a result of an investigation in which agents previously located marijuana, Ecstasy, and drug paraphernalia in Bridget’s home. He remains incarcerated with no bond set.
The Patterson Police Department reports the following arrests yesterday, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:
—Joseph Bias, 55, Guzzetta Drive, Berwick, arrested on Tiffany and Waveland streets at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday for driving while intoxicated and two counts of violation of a restraining order. Remains incarcerated with bond information unavailable.
—Leonard Allen Yarborough, no age given, Fourth Street, Berwick, arrested at the Wag-A-Pak at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday for two counts of shoplifting. Remains incarcerated with a $674 bond.
The Morgan City Police Department reports the following arrests overnight, according to Chief Marc Folse:
—Jerome Williams, 35, Second Street, Morgan City, arrested at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday for simple assault and disturbing the peace. Released on a $640 bond.
—Alonzo Henry, 17, Williams Street, Patterson, arrested at 12:34 a.m. today for possession of marijuana. Remains incarcerated with no bond set.
—Keddrick Jones, 25, Birch Street, Morgan City, arrested at 12:29 a.m. today on a warrant for no driver’s license. Released on a $491 bond.
