Genovese Ashford Studio
Catherine Grace Corbett and Matthew Ray Landrum were united in holy matrimony at 1:30 p.m. March 1 at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. The Rev. O. Joseph Breaux officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Sellers Corbett of Lafayette, formerly of Morgan City. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Guidry Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. James C.A. Corbett.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Andrew Landrum of Lafayette. He is the grandson of Jeannette Burt Landrum of Lafayette and the late Zachary T. Landrum, and Claire St. Germain Fitzpatrick of Jeanerette and the late Jack C. Fitzpatrick.
Readings were presented by Patti Guidry Weber, godmother of the bride and Sue Ellen Fitzpatrick Adams, aunt of the groom. Gift bearers included Greg Anthony Guidry, godfather of the bride and David Lyle Adams, godfather of the groom.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown designed with a soft sweetheart neckline, modified trumpet skirt with mesh organza under cotton lace appliques and a scalloped-finished hemline. Adorning the waist was a pearl-beaded floral applique on a vanilla-bean, double-faced satin ribbon. Her handmade cathedral-length veil was finished with a scalloped-lace edge matching her gown.
She carried a gathered bouquet of antique-ivory garden roses and white hydrangeas accented with antique pearls and crystals, along with a rosary belonging to the late Lordsina Bonner, her great-grandmother.
Megan Ann Dupre was maid of honor. Her gown featured illusion straps suspending an ethereal cascading dress fashioned from crinkled-silk chiffon. The surplice neckline and crisscrossed waistband complemented the silhouette.
Bridesmaids were Kate Landrum Pollins, sister of the groom; Tayler Lynn Guillory; Lindsay Brooke Jordan; Kathryn Alexis Rudick and Amelia Tanner Rider. Each wore a gown with a sheer swath that culminated in a ruffle atop one shoulder. The floor-grazing gowns of crinkled-silk chiffon were a blush color.
Flower girl Gabrielle Anne Guidry, cousin of the bride, wore an off white dress of luminescent taffeta with lace cap sleeves and a soft-pleated empire waistband with sash ties. The full-shirred, floor-length skirt and shirred-tulle overskirt were trimmed with lace at the hem.
Christian Michael Hargroder, godchild of the groom, was ring bearer.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Wade Rawls, Kyle Alexander Jones, Nickolas Andrew Mayeaux, James Jordan Montgomery and Scott Michael Pollins, brother-in-law of the groom.
Ushers included Andrew Eric Andersen, Benjamin Baer LeBlanc, Daniel Bradley Naul and Sean Michael Rider.
A reception followed at River Oaks.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Lafayette High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she was a member of the Ragin Cajun cheerleading squad. She is currently in her final semester at Holy Cross College in New Orleans pursing degrees in health science and radiologic technology.
