Ladies Auxiliary makes a difference in the community

The Jackson-Henry Ladies Auxiliary 10016 helps with several services in the community including the Food Bank and calling bingo at the nursing home as a sponsor on one Saturday per month. Members donate money monthly. The Ladies Auxiliary recently held POW-MIA service at the Peace Memorial in Franklin.

On Make a Difference Day, the group donated items to the needy and members helped at schools and churches.

Member Delores Abraham recently traveled to Paris with a youth group.

On Flag Day, 215 flags were placed on deceased veterans graves at 18 gravesites in Franklin and Baldwin.

Franklin Senior High School Assistant Principal and Art Teacher Ruth Terry, along with the Ladies Auxiliary, helped with the Young American Creative Patriotic Contest. Contestants were Nathaniel Cummings, Jazman Henry and Karson Grogan.

Jazman Henry won an award and all three were given a card and a monetary gift.
