Houma man arrested for crack cocaine

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:

—Heather Everage Banda, 35, of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7 p.m. Thursday for disturbing the peace by using foul language.

—Jessica Eugenia Everage, 31, of Seventy-Nine Pines in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7 p.m. on Thursday for disturbing the peace by using foul language.

A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint of a disturbance in progress on Southeast Boulevard. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Banda and Everage were engaged in a loud verbal argument which included cursing. Banda was released on a summons to appear in court April 17. Everage was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on a $250 bail.

—Patricia L. Savoie, of Elaine Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:09 a.m. today on a warrant from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office for unauthorized use of an access card and identity theft. A deputy located Savoie in Amelia on the warrant. She was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set.

—Randy Rene Prado, 39, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:11 a.m. today for possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint of a subject sleeping in a vehicle parked in the Burger King drive-thru. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Prado. While speaking to Prado the deputy observed an open can of beer in the vehicle. Prado was released on a summons to appear in court April 17.

—Christian M. Marcell, 33, of Delmar Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:29 p.m. Thursday on a warrant from the Patterson Police Department for simple battery, criminal trespassing, and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division detectives were patrolling the Bayou Vista area when they observed Marcel driving through the area. Detectives were aware of an active warrant for Marcel’s arrest and stopped his vehicle. Marcel was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

—Glenn Norris Matthews Jr., 30, of Grand Caillou Road in Houma, was arrested at 6:23 p.m. Thursday for possession of crack cocaine, resisting an officer by flight, two counts failure to use a turn signal and stop sign violation. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division detectives observed a vehicle commit traffic violations, failing to stop and signal turns in the Lake Palourde Road area. Detectives then activated their lights and sirens in order to conduct a traffic stop. However, the vehicle continued to drive from Frontage Road onto La. 182 and into Assumption Parish.

The vehicle was stopped in Bayou Bouef. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Matthews. During the investigation, detectives received consent to search the vehicle. During the search, detectives located crack cocaine, the report stated. Matthews was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.

Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Glenn Blanco reported no arrests.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
