Central Catholic High School, the No. 12 seed in the Class 1A playoffs, will begin
postseason play today when it hosts No. 21 Ascension Christian in first-round
action at the Bayou Vista Community Center. Central Catholic enters the
matchup with a 15-12 overall mark, while Ascension Christian is 7-11 overall.

Morgan City High School and Assumption High School will square off for the third time this season when they meet in Class 4A first-round playoff action today at 5 p.m. in Morgan City. While Morgan City took the first game between the two teams in Morgan City, the Lady Tigers lost the finale at Assumption in the district championship.
