The No. 10 seed Central Catholic Lady Eagles advanced to the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner after upsetting No. 7 seed Ascension Catholic on the road Monday in Division V second-round volleyball action. Berwick High School concluded its season with a 50-14 loss to E.D. White in Thibodaux Friday. The Panthers finished the with a 2-8 mark, including a 1-3 record in District 9-3A action. The Central Catholic Eagles concluded their regular season with a 41-14 victory at Gueydan Friday. Central Catholic finished its regular season with an 8-2 mark, including a 5-1 record in District 7-1A play. Central Catholic enters the Division IV (Class 1A select) playoffs as the No. 3 seed. Morgan City High School dropped its regular season finale to Assumption High School, 42-35 Friday in Morgan City. Morgan City finished its season with a 2-8 overall mark and 0-4 in District 7-4A. Above, is Morgan City’s Kevon Marsh in action against Assumption. Marsh, a senior, rushed for 62 yards on 17 carries with one score in his final game as a Tiger.
