Barron's home run lifts Halimar past Skipper's

In a high-scoring game between Skipper’s Sporting Goods (Morgan City) and Halimar Shipyard (Central Catholic), it took one swing in the top of the eighth inning to ultimately determine the outcome.

MCHS 4x100-meter relay has state's top time

Morgan City High School’s 4x100-meter relay was honored on the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s All-State Track and Field team. The Tigers’ state championship-winning time of 41.42 was the top time among all seven of the state’s classifications. NOEL BAKER, a sophomore at Hanson Memorial High School has been named to the LSWA All-State Track and Field Team. Noel was the Class 1A State Champion in javelin.
