Morgan City High School held off a West St. Mary fourth-quarter rally for an 81-73 victory in the first-day action at Morgan City’s Tiger Classic.

Patterson defeats South Terrebonne

Lumberjacks upend Loranger, 21-6

No. 7 Patterson High School advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Class 3A playoffs after knocking off No. 10 seed Loranger, 21-6, in regional round action Friday. Patterson jumped out to 21-0 lead en route to a 21-6 Class 3A second-round playoff win against Loranger Friday at the Sugar Dome.

Ouachita Christian routs Central Catholic, 38-0

No. 3 Central Catholic High School’s season came to an end as No. 6 Ouachita Christian upset the home standing squad, 38-0, in Division IV (Class 1A select) quarterfinal action in Morgan City Friday. The loss snapped a six-game
