Morgan City High School Fancy Dancers to attend state competition

The Morgan City High School Fancy Dancers competed in the 2nd Annual Regional Bayouland Dance Competition Dec. 13. Several other schools competed, including South Lafourche, Central Lafourche, Terrebonne High, Thibodaux High and E.D. White. Morgan City’s Fancies achieved a clean
sweep by winning first place in HipHop, first place in Highkick, and first place in Pom Pom routines. No other team competed in more than two routines. The team will attend state competition Sunday at the Cajundome in Lafayette. The
Fancy Dancers also will be dancing at pregame for the New Orleans Pelicans game Jan. 19 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
