Lumberjacks return home to face Vandebilt Catholic

The Patterson Lumberjacks will return home this week after two straight road games. The Lumberjacks, who are 0-3 on the season, will host Class 4A Vandebilt Catholic Friday. Above, Patterson quarterback Sirbatian Charles fights for yardage against Catholic High during last week’s 28-25 loss to
the Panthers.

Patterson hopes to avoid a slow start after falling behind for the third game in a row.

Morgan City Tigers will meet Livonia Friday

The Morgan City High School football team will continue its nondistrict schedule Friday when it hosts Class 3A Livonia. The Wildcats come to
Morgan City a year after a state-runner up finish in Class 3A. Morgan City enters Friday’s game after snapping a 17-game losing streak a week ago with a 48-12 win against West St. Mary. Above, Morgan City junior Jacolbi Francois
runs against West St. Mary. Francois, who rushed for 103 yards, was one of two Tigers to finish with 100 yards rushing along with senior Kevon Marsh, who had 118 yards.

The Morgan City High School football team entered this week doing something they haven’t done in the last 17 previous regular season chances: coming off a victory.
