When you start sifting through the available data detailing the inner-workings of the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the significant data is alarming.

By virtue of IPCC’s charter they are dedicated to anthropogenic global warming (AGW) or man-made causes because their charter assumes that people are to blame for changes in the earth’s climate. That isn’t true today, never has been true and probably never will be true but the IPCC cares not.

Note that it is an "intergovernmental" panel, not a scientific institution or even an international union of scientists. The IPCC is nothing but a closed loop of bureaucrats looking for the keys to the grownup's stuff so they can rule the world for awhile.

And a very closed loop it is. The AGW chapter in their latest report had more than four dozen authors. That would seem diverse but on further review you find that nearly all of these characters have either co-authored papers with each other, work with or for one another or have given what must be assumed as laughable peer-review to each other’s work. Their future and their funding depend on keeping the con alive.

A report in Environment and Climate News recently noted a study by the Science and Public Policy Institute that looked at the methodology of IPCC’s data gathering and conclusion manufacturing process and was not impressed. "The IPCC is a single-interest organization, whose charter directs it to assume that there is a human influence on climate, rather than to consider whether the influence may be negligible," lead author John McLean, an Australian researcher, observes in the study.

"The study documents that instead of seeking input from a wide array of scientists representing a broad swath of the scientific community, IPCC's climate science assessment is dominated by a small clique of alarmists who frequently work closely with each other outside the IPCC process."

"The McLean analysis of the processes of the IPCC 4th Assessment Report supports prior criticisms of IPCC processes and results," said Robert Ferguson, president of the Science and Public Policy Institute.

"We now have a better understanding of how the IPCC 3rd Assessment Report 'hockey stick' fiasco, in which bogus statistical data was presented to support a nonexistent warming record, was allowed to occur," Ferguson noted. "That is to say, the UN's IPCC is a political organization feigning science as a cover for its political ends.

"The UN's careful selection of layers of like-minded 'authors' for the critical chapter 9 shows it quite successfully counted on a small clique of authors avoiding any meaningful peer review of their assertions," Ferguson said.

Ferguson’s chapter 9 reference is the meat of the IPCC propaganda that supposes to connect CO2, methane and other organic substances to the evil fossil fuel practices of man.

The reason for all this tight knitted collusion is the IPCC data will not stand up to strict scrutiny, is not provable at a 95 percent confidence level and is therefore nothing more than meaningless supposition.

Where the modelers train falls off the track is oceanography. They’re pretty good at models that predict weather over land but there are two problems with that. Weather is not climate and 70 percent of the earth is ocean.

Further complicating the mix is 80 percent of the Southern Hemisphere is water and that vast sea area is the least monitored area of the planet.

What the modelers know is their models do not work and therefore they must maintain a tight little group, whose livelihood depends on false findings, to keep them in business. After all, if the models said everything was fine, the planet is independent of man and plods along based on natural forces of the universe – which is actually true – they’d be out of business. Based on the hysteria they’ve tried to create and the nonsense they’ve been filling peoples heads with in articles and classrooms, the fitting place for these guys is jail.
