There are roughly 540 LearnPads in St. Mary Parish classrooms and that number will nearly triple in the coming school year if $450,000 of previously dedicated funds are released during the school board’s meeting today.

Police asking assistance in Glencoe shooting

Wreck on U.S. 90 Wednesday

A two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon sent two people to the hospital with apparently minor injuries, according to Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle. The van in the picture attempted to cross U.S. 90 at Red Cypress Road shortly after 4 p.m. when the wreck occurred, he said.
