A 35-year-old Franklin woman accused of using a stolen credit card and forging the victim’s signature is the new addition to December’s Daily Review Most Wanted edition. Franklin Holly Hebert, 35, whose last known address is in the 1800 block of Main Street in Franklin. Hebert is 5 feet, 4 inches and 130 pounds.

The Morgan City High Fancy Dancers excelled at a regional competition at Thibodaux High School in December, as the team was the overall highest scoring team at the event. At the event, the Fancy Dancers also won trophies in the three categories they competed, earning first-place finishes in High Kick and Pom Pom
and second-place in Hip Hop. The team also won another trophy for their High Kick routine. The trophy was given to the team at the event who the judges felt performed the most original and best choreographed routine. The team’s sponsor, Courtney Matherne, choreographed the routine. The Fancy Dancers will be traveling to the CajunDome in Lafayette to compete in the American All-Star State Dance Competition in January. They then will travel to Orlando, Florida, at Walt Disney World to compete in American All-Star National Competition in February. St. Mary Community Action Agency’s Adopt-A-Family program was held Dec. 16 and several Head Start families benefitted through the charitable efforts of others. There were big presents wrapped and topped with shiny ribbons along with bicycles and dollhouses for eligible Head Start boys and girls.

Top students at Central Catholic High School

Central Catholic High School Student of the Month Award is designed to distinguish one outstanding junior high school student and one high school student. The award is an opportunity to recognize those students who have demonstrated leadership ability and motivation. This month, Central Catholic High School has awarded eighth-grader Dustin Hebert and senior Matthew David for the honor. Chemistry teacher Tracy Crappell, was also recognized as Inspirational Faculty Member of the month.
