Honors at Central Catholic High School

Central Catholic High School Student of the Month Award is designed to distinguish one outstanding junior high school student and one high school student. This award is an opportunity to recognize students who have demonstrated excellent leadership ability and motivation. This month, Central Catholic High School has awarded eighth-grader Bailee Lipari and junior Lindsee Case for the honor. Librarian and technology coordinator Anna Saleme was recognized as Inspirational Faculty Member of the month.

Hannibal royalty

The Krewe of Hannibal presented its Carnival tableau Saturday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. King Hannibal XXXV Phillip Dural and Queen Cleopatra XXXV Greta Lewis represented Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II in keeping with the court theme, “Once Royalty, Always Royalty: Hannibal Presents the House of Windsor.” Krewe members plan to parade with members of the Krewe of Dionysus at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bayou Vista, the Krewe of Amani at 1 p.m. Feb. 16 in Patterson and in the Siracusa/Greenwood community parade at 2 p.m. on Fat Tuesday in Siracusa.
