District tourney for 9s, 11s to begin

The Morgan City Recreation Department’s 9-year-old All-Star baseball team will be in action beginning Thursday at the district tournament in Thibodaux. Team

District tournaments for 9- and 11-year-old teams will begin in Thibodaux Thursday at Peltier Park.
Morgan City will send teams to both tournaments.

Lumberjills top Franklin, 55-46

The Patterson High School girls’ basketball team remained undefeated in District 9-3A play with a 55-46 victory against Franklin High Friday.

Berwick beats Franklin
