Drug arrests dominate police reports; juvenile assaults officer

A Morgan City man was arrested Thursday and charged with possession of Roxicodone, Soma and Suboxone, all with intent to distribute, and distribution of Roxicodone after St. Mary Parish Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents found narcotics and money when they executed a search warrant at his home.

Dean Aucoin, 42, Willard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:03 p.m. after agents executed a search warrant at 917 Willard St. and recovered Soma and Roxicodone pills and Suboxone strips along with $1,562 in U.S. currency, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said.

He remained in the Parish Jail this morning with no bond set.

Minutes before, Carren Comeaux, 30, of Gibson was arrested Thursday at 4:59 p.m. and charged with possession of Roxicodone with intent to distribute and possession of Tizanidine and drug paraphernalia.

Agents patrolling Willard Street in Morgan City made contact with Comeaux, who they observed crossing the roadway after coming from the residence, and during an investigation, agents located Roxicodone, Tizanidine and drug paraphernalia on Comeaux’s person, Hebert said.

Comeaux remained in the Parish Jail this morning with no bond set.

Elsewhere, a 12-year-old Patterson male was arrested Thursday at 8:59 a.m. and charged with simple battery on a police officer after the student allegedly committed a battery on the police officer at the St. Mary Alternative School, Hebert said.

The juvenile was arrested at 8:59 a.m. after the deputy was called to a classroom for a disturbance and the juvenile refused to comply with the deputy’s orders and committed a battery upon the female officer, the sheriff said.

The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

St. Mary Parish Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents patrolling the Morgan City area stopped a vehicle Brown was driving after he failed to use signal at Federal and Railroad avenues.

Upon conducting the stop, agents observed Brown rummaging in the vehicle’s center console, where agents later found a bag of crack cocaine, Hebert said.
