Donald R. Gray
Donald R. Gray, 72, a resident of Pierre Part, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Donald was born on Dec. 12, 1940, in Evansville, Ind., the son of John and Lois Satterfield Gray.
Donald loved woodworking and making things for friends and family. He also enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and guns, and he also had a library of movies. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He worked 15 years for Shell Oil, 20 years for Settoon Construction and five years for C&R Contractors.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeanine Dupuis Gray of Pierre Part; three daughters, Lisa Boudin and husband, Mike, of Las Vegas, Dawn Godbout and husband, Rob, of Florida and Robin Gray of Florida; two stepdaughters, Majella Bailey and husband, Jimmy Jr., of Stephensville and Nicole Daigle and husband, David, of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Meaghan Bailey, Brea Bailey, Amber Bailey, Reilee Bailey and Brittany Crouch; three great-grandchildren, Sophie Rose, Jaydon Crouch and Avery Dupre. Donald is also survived by two brothers, John Gray Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., and Travis Cotton of Oklahoma; sisters; four sisters-in-laws, Flo Marceaux and husband, Horace, Merle Mula, Frankie Simpson, and Susie Myers and husband, Jerry; numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
