Crashes snarl traffic
Two crashes, involving two cars each, tied up traffic on the U.S. 90 bridge around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
State Police Troop I Public Information Officer Stephen Hammons said both accidents were in the eastbound lanes and occurred at the same time.
In the first, a 1997 Dodge Ram driven by Stacy Leboeuf, 34, of Morgan City was involved with a 1999 GMC Suburban driven by Jeanette Roberson, 61, of Patterson. Leboeuf was cited for careless operation and expired license plate.
In the second accident, a 1998 Dodge Ram driven by Randolph Morgan, 62, of Patterson was involved with a 1995 Lincoln Towncar driven by a male from Raceland, age 17. Morgan was charged with careless operation.
No injuries were reported in either accident.
The accidents tied up traffic into the rush hour as lanes were cleared.
