A 45-year-old Pierre Part woman was jailed Tuesday after being accused of stabbing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife during a fight and puncturing his lung, Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said in a news release.
At 6:42 a.m. Tuesday, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a man who had been stabbed with a knife, Waguespack said.

Deputies made contact with a 61-year-old man, who was not named, and said the couple had gotten into a fight earlier in the morning and she had picked up a small kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest, Waguespack said.
