Authorities say one may be connected to theft in another parish

Two suspects seen on surveillance video are being sought in connection with a TV theft at Walmart, and one of the suspects is also believed to possibly have been involved in a theft in another parish, according to a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office news release.
On June 6, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft from the Walmart store in Bayou Vista. At 2:14 p.m. that, two suspects, a male and female, are seen on video surveillance taking a large flat screen TV from a display area, loading the television into a shopping cart, and leaving the store, the release stated.
In the parking lot, the two suspects then load the TV into a truck and drive away from the area. Detectives believe the male suspect also may be involved in a theft that occurred at another store in a neighboring parish, the release said.
Anyone with information on the suspects, the truck, or the crime may contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-384-1622 or 337-828-1960.
