Police Reports 8-29-14

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Jazmine Jackson, 24, of 306 Martin Luther King Blvd., Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 7:54 a.m. on charges of battery on a correctional facility officer and disarming a police officer. A deputy at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center was in the process of removing Jackson from a dorm when the offender began moving toward the deputy in an aggressive manner. The deputy deployed a Tazer but did make contact with the offender. Jackson continued to approach the deputy, hitting the deputy’s hands and striking the deputy in the face and head. Additional deputies responded to the dorm and Jackson was subsequently escorted from the area. The deputy sustained no major injuries during the altercation.
Jason E. Hunt, 27, of 112 Field St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 9:10 a.m. on a warrant charging him with domestic abuse battery and released on $5,000 bond.
Michael Dupas, 54, of 1205 Theresa St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 12:45 p.m. on a warrant charging him with issuing worthless checks and was released on a summons.
Kierra Johnson, 26, of 271 Grandwood Drive, Apt. 41, Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 3:23 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on charges of theft and was held with no bond set.
Elizabeth Lewis, 22, of 203 Neptune Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 1:24 a.m. on charges of simple battery, obstruction of justice, two warrants charging her with failure to comply with the terms of probation, and warrants charging her with failure to appear on charges of criminal mischief and theft. No bond was set.
Damarcus McNeal, 17, of Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 10:02 a.m. on a charge of possession of oxycodone and held without bail
Kasie Dubois, 32, of 136 Oak Forest Drive, Gibson, was arrested Thursday at 10:53 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of disturbing the peace and was released on $1,000 bond.
Taylor Murphy, 19, of 151 Greenleaf Blvd., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 11:37 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a charge of violation of a protective order and was held on $7,500 bond.
Alicia Gilmer, 20, 144 Rayne Court, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 11:37 a.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on a charge of possession of paraphernalia and was released on $5,000 bond.
Larry Hampton, 28, of Gibson, was arrested Thursday at 1:45 p.m. on charges of two counts of simple damage to property while an inmate at the parish jail and reportedly damaging a window. NO bond was set.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Justin Scarbrough, 22, of 1232 Delmar Avenue, Bayou Vista, Wednesday at 8:10 p.m. on charges of resisting an officer, operation of a clandestine laboratory, operation of same within 2,000 feet of a school zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, criminal trespassing and manufacturing methamphetamine. No bond was set.
Wade Fruge, 55, of 1302 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace by offensive language, battery on a police officer, three counts of resisting with force and threatening a public official. He was released on $3,500 bond.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Kenneth Smith, 54, of Main Street, Franklin, Wednesday at 8:18 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace intoxicated and open container. He was held on $750 bond.
Jeanelle Gabriel, 38, of Irish Bend Road, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:36 p.m. on a Third Ward Court bench warrant on a charge of simple battery and released to appear in court.
Brianna Bell, 21, of Talbot Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 9:32 p.m. on a warrant charging her with theft over $300 and released on $1,000 bond.
