Police Reports 5-29-14

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Jermaine Keys, 38, of 1051 Grace St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 12:03 p.m. on a Terrebonne Parish failure to appear warrant on charges of speeding, driving under suspension and expired license plate. Bond is $600.
Robin Gassenberger Jr., 36, of Des Allemands, was arrested Wednesday at 8:49 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of speeding and disobeying a traffic signal. Bond is $2,000.
The Narcotics Division arrested Mark A. Ruffin, 39, of 2465 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, Wednesday at 7:36 p.m. on warrants charging him with nine counts of possession Schedule III drugs with intent to distribute.
Detectives located Ruffin at his residence on the warrant. The charges stem from a search warrant conducted by detectives in March at the residence. During the search detectives reportedly located several bottles containing suspected steroids. The contents were sent to a crime lab for analysis and reportedly tested positive for the Schedule III controlled dangerous substances. No bond is set.
Damian Brown, 31, of 145 Mercury St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 9:22 p.m. on charges of operation of a clandestine laboratory and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also arrested was Jolene E. Frye, 30, of 145 Mercury St., Bayou Vista, on charges of operation of a clandestine laboratory, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug and a warrant charging her with criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing.
During a joint operation, detectives and Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at 145 Mercury Street. During the search inside the residence, detectives reportedly located chemicals, materials and drugs consistent with the production of methamphetamine. Detectives reportedly also located an active meth lab. No bonds are set.
Chance M. Landry, 24, of 117 Pond Drive, Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Wednesday at 5:49 p.m. on charges of distribution Schedule IV drugs and with intent to distribute.
Cory R. Gagliano, 24, of 131 Honey Lane, Morgan City, was also charged with possession of Schedule IV and legend drugs and improper lane use. No bonds were set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Riley Lee, 40, of Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, Wednesday at 9:46 a.m. on a Third Ward Court warrant charging Lee with failure to appear on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Lee was released on $500 bond.
Michael Jones, 57, of Lacy Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 2:54 p.m. on a warrant charging him with disturbing the peace and released on $307 bond.
Melvina Paul-Morris, 45, of Talbot Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. on a warrant charging her with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and released on $1,000 bond.
