Police Reports 4-28-14

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Sidney Elair, 56, of 8509 U.S. 90 Frontage Road, Centerville, was arrested Friday at 10:32 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of battery on an officer and disturbing the peace. He was held on $10,000 bond.
Charles L. Merrett, 34, of 404 Williams St., Patterson, was arrested Friday at 2:31 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of criminal neglect of family. No bond was set.
Larandan K. Hawkins, 24, of 219 Southeast Blvd., Bayou Vista, was arrested Friday at 10:48 p.m. on a St. Martin Parish failure to appear warrant on a charge of failure to obey a traffic signal. No bond was set.
Shawn Thompson, 36, of 107 Lambert Lane, Bayou Vista, was arrested Saturday at 3:43 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace and released on $500 bond.
Harley N. Rentrop, 20, of 158 Aucoin Lane, Morgan City, was arrested Sunday at 12:31 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace and was released on $250 bond.
Alvin Farrande, 26, of 101 Pluto Road, No. 11, Bayou Vista, was arrested Sunday at 1:09 a.m. on charges of aggravated battery, simple criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace. He was held on $15,750 bond.
Kristopher L. Savoie, 34, of 122 Todd Lane, Bayou Vista, was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to comply with the conditions of drug court and held on $100,000 bond.
Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Hiram Eugene, 33, of New Iberia, Friday at 2:54 p.m. on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student. He was arrested with assistance of the Iberia Sheriff’s Office and held with no bond set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Curtis Williams, 31, of Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, Friday at 12:15 p.m. on warrants charging him with domestic abuse battery, failure to appear on charges of possession of cocaine, disturbing the peace intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was charged additionally with resisting an officer with force and violence, attempted disarming of an officer, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
Marjorie Ruffin, 24, of O’Neal Chube Lane, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 12:29 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace and released on $250 bond.
Benjamin Picard, 20, of Events Street, Jeanerette, was arrested Saturday at 12:01 a.m. on a charge of violation of a protective order and held with no bond set.
Emily Elkins, 21, of Ibert Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 9:12 p.m. on a charge of simple battery and released on $500 bond.
Julesia Druillet, 19, of Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 3:23 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting and was released on $250 bond.
Jaquesha Jackson, 17, of Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 3:23 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting and released on $250 bond.
