Police Reports 4-25-14
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Carla A. Rome, 52, of Stephensville, was arrested Thursday at 10:53 a.m. on charges of obstruction of justice and intimidating a witness. She was released on $50,000 bond.
Demitrice Edmond, 46, of 141 Ernies St., Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 11:27 a.m. on a warrant charging him with DWI. He was released on $2,500 bond.
Ingrid L. Brown, 29, of Houma, was arrested Thursday at 1:58 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on a charge of simple criminal damage to property. She was released on $3,000 bond.
Lindsey Freeman, 31, of 724 Prairie Road North, Centerville, was arrested Thursday at 2:50 p.m. on a charge of simple battery. No bond was set.
Atlas J. White, 22, of 1352 Oil Tank Alley, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 8:55 p.m. on a warrant charging him with aggravated rape and unauthorized entry. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received information from a local hospital regarding a possible rape victim who was being treated in the emergency room of an area hospital. Detectives reportedly determined that the 16-year-old female victim was beaten and raped the previous night at a residence in Amelia. Detectives identified White, a person the victim knew, as the suspect in the crime. White is also accused of entering the home without permission. Detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest on the charges listed above. After developing information that White was actively evading arrest and was no longer staying in St. Mary Parish, the detective assigned to the case contacted the U.S. Marshals Office to request assistance in locating him. U.S. Marshals located White in New Iberia. White was subsequently taken into custody on the warrant and turned over to deputies for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Tyraneka Lane, 19, of 187 Mallard St., Morgan City, was arrested today at 12:41 a.m. on charges of domestic abuse battery and disturbing the peace by foul language.
Also arrested was Christian Garret, 27, same address, on charges of domestic abuse battery and remaining where forbidden. No bonds were set.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Heidi M. Miller, 26, of 640 Terrebonne St., Morgan City, Thursday at 4:53 p.m. on a warrant charging her with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession in the presence of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a drug free zone. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Jaquincy Mouton, 21, of Ninth Street, Franklin, Thursday at 10:37 a.m. on a warrant charging him with domestic abuse battery. No bond was set.
