Police Reports 3-21-14

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following Narcotics Division arrests:
Jordan Watson, 25, of 1604 Cherry St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 7:29 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, violation of a drug free zone, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, resisting an officer, possession of a Schedule III drug, warrants charging him with simple battery, domestic abuse battery and failure to appear on a charge of unlawful use of an ID to enter a gaming establishment. No bond was set.
Dashawn Moore, 18, of 1015 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 7:29 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in a drug free zone and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. No bond was set.
David Picou Jr., 18, of 1005 Delmar St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday at 7:29 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in a drug free zone and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. No bond was set.
Tyrin Watts, 19, of 512 Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 7:29 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in a drug free zone and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. No bond was set.
Hebert said Narcotics Division detectives patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a pickup truck fail to come to a complete stop at the intersection of Field Street and Saturn Road. Detectives conducted a traffic stop. As detectives approached the vehicle, one of the passengers exited the vehicle and fled. Detectives detained the driver identified as Picou, and two passengers identified as Moore and Watts. During the traffic stop investigation, detectives located marijuana and a handgun inside the truck. Watson was located at a residence on Jupiter Street.
Uston Rock, 26, of Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Thursday at 6:09 p.m. on charges of second offense possession of marijuana, violation of a drug free zone and bringing contraband into a jail. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Michael S. Meyer, 22, of Lake Charles, with assistance from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, on warrants charging him with simple burglary and failure to appear on a charge of theft. No bond was set.
