Man escapes police custody while at hospital emerency room

Police are trying to find a 39-year-old man who escaped from Morgan City Police custody Thursday afternoon while being treated at Teche Regional Medical Center emergency room, according to a Morgan City Police news release.
Jamison C. Dunigan, 39, is wanted by Morgan City police for simple escape and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. Dunigan is also wanted on a warrant for Baldwin County, Alabama, for obstruction of justice
Dunigan, who had been arrested by Morgan City police, escaped at about 3 p.m.
Dunigan managed to remove his restraints and escape, according to the release. He has previous addresses in Atmore, Alabama, Shubuta, Mississippi, and in the 100 block of Agnes Street in Pierre Part.
Dunigan was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts, the release said.
