Police are looking for a 25-year-old Morgan City man on multiple drug charges in connection with an incident Thursday during which the man is accused of fleeing from police on foot after a traffic stop, according to a Morgan City Police news release.
Broderick D. Junifer, 25, whose last known address is in the 1400 block of Federal Avenue in Morgan City, is wanted for reckless operation of a moving vehicle, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II MDMA (Ecstasy), aggravated flight from an officer, and violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance law.
On Thursday, a patrolling officer attempted to stop a vehicle after a traffic violation was observed. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the unidentified driver refused subsequently leading police on a chase, the release stated.
