Deputy finds inmate on festival work detail in vehicle having sex

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Khyrii M. Davies, 24, of the 800 block of Park Street, Patterson, was arrested at 11:18 a.m. Sunday for sexual acts prohibited in public.
—Lendell A. Riles, 24, of the 500 block of Tiffany Street, Patterson, was arrested at 11:18 a.m. Sunday for sexual acts prohibited in public.
A deputy working with trustees at Kemper Williams Park on a trash detail found that an inmate, Riles, had left his assigned area. The deputy located Riles a short distance away inside a vehicle committing a sexual act with Davies.
Both remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
—Juvenile male, 11, of Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:14 p.m. Sunday for simple battery. A deputy investigating a complaint of a battery learned that the juvenile punched an 8-year-old male in the head. The juvenile was released to a guardian.
—Jose Misael De Dios, 23, of Houston, was arrested at 4:23 a.m. Saturday for disturbing the peace, unlawful possession of fraudulent documents and resisting an officer by giving false information. A deputy responded to a report of a male walking in the roadway on U.S. 90 in Amelia. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on him. When the deputy requested identification, Misael De Dios gave the deputy a Texas identification card. The deputy determined that the name displayed on the card was false and that the identification number on the card belonged to a deceased female. Misael De Dios remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
—Dylan Pittman, 23, of the 800 block of Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:52 a.m. Sunday for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a local hospital in reference to a report of domestic abuse. The deputy learned that Pittman punched a female in the face repeatedly while at a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy located Pittman at his residence in Morgan City. He remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
—Amy Gentry, 33, of the 1200 block of Spruce Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:48 p.m. Sunday for theft of goods, criminal trespass and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista where Gentry was seen concealing items in her purse before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. Gentry previously had been banned from the store. She remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
—Edward Chapman, 49, of the 300 block of Glenwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Sunday on three warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with Chapman at a business on La. 182 in Morgan City. Chapman was released on a summons to appear in court.
—Ryan Bowman, 19, of the 400 block of Lagonda Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:59 p.m. Sunday for accessory after the fact (simple burglary) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Ryan Boudreaux, 19, of the 3000 block of Lesley Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:59 p.m. Sunday for accessory after the fact (simple burglary) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Remington Dubois, 18, of the 100 block of Henry Street, Patterson, was arrested at 2:06 a.m. today for simple burglary.
—Callen Richard, 17, of the 1900 block of Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 2:06 a.m. today for simple burglary.
A deputy responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in progress at a residence on Degravelle Road in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a pickup truck travelling away from the residence at a high rate of speed and stopped the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver and passenger of the vehicle, identified as Bowman and Boudreaux.
The deputy determined that Bowman and Boudreaux dropped off two other people with the intent of burglarizing a vehicle. They were identified as Dubois and Richard who were located on La. 182. All four remained jailed this morning.
—Shaneka Kemp, 28, of the 400 block of Verdun Lane, Verdunville, was arrested for possession of synthetic cannabinoids, abuse of toxic vapors, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of juveniles and four warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court.
Narcotics detectives observed a vehicle cross the center line of Verdun Lane several times and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the driver, Shameka Kemp. During the course of the investigation, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located synthetic cannabinoids. A small child was inside the vehicle at the time of the investigation. Also, detectives learned that Kemp had several outstanding warrants. Kemp remained jailed this morning with no bail set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—James Husband, 22, of the 2600 block of Fifth Street, Berwick, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. Saturday for simple battery. Husband was released on $366 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Thomas Remedies, 21, of Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. Sunday for theft by shoplifting. Remedies was released on $250 bail.
