St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 45 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Charles Lodrigue III, 34, of the 700 block of Belanger Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday for improper lane usage, possession of marijuana, third offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.
—Chad W. Chase, 39, of the 100 block of Bernard Street in Patterson, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Narcotics detectives patrolling the Amelia area saw a truck cross over the fog line and the center line of the roadway multiple times. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on Duhon Boulevard and made contact with the driver, Lodrigue, and the passenger, Chase.
Detectives received consent to search and located a bag of marijuana, rolling papers, syringes, a handgun, and methamphetamine in Lodrigue’s possession, Hebert said. Lodrigue has two prior convictions for possession of marijuana, he said. Chase was found to be in possession of two digital scales, several small plastic sealable baggies, and several bags containing methamphetamine, he said. Lodrigue and Chase were jailed with no bail set.
—Burney Carter Jr., of the 200 block of Ricohoc Drive in Ricohoc, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine and possession of hydrocodone. A deputy responding to a complaint in Ricohoc made contact with Carter and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Carter was jailed with no bail set.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Robert W. Holley, 41, of League City, Texas, was arrested at 3:18 a.m. today for urinating in public, appearing in public intoxicated and a hold for Terrebonne Parish for failure to appear.
Officers were dispatched to the area of La. 182 and Cottonwood Street for a suspicious person. Officers located Holley urinating in the parking lot of a business. Holley was found to be in an intoxicated condition and was jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Julius Rhodes, 31, of CJC Lane in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday for disturbing the peace second offense. Rhodes was jailed and released on $160 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
