Arrest reports

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 44 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Eric Fontenot, 56, of the 600 block of Teche Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday on a warrant from Patterson police for cyberstalking. A deputy responding to a complaint at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City made contact with Fontenot who held an active warrant for arrest. Fontenot was jailed with no bail set.
—Michael L. Raymond Jr., 35, of the 200 block of Kathleen Street in Patterson, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Raymond at his residence. Raymond was jailed with no bail set.
—Sadie Percle, 21, of the 1100 block of Chester Bowles Street in Morgan City, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Percle turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. She was jailed and released on $1,500 bail.
—Gad Abraham, 33, of the 400 block of Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday for simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of a battery that occurred at a business on U.S. 90 in Bayou Vista. The deputy learned that Abraham slapped a female victim in the face. Abraham was jailed with bail set at $500.
—Lucas Lang, 25, of the 100 block of Timothy Street in Pierre Part, was arrested Thursday for theft of goods and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to use a seatbelt, open alcoholic container, and driving under suspension.
—Morgan Stewart, 23, of the 100 block of Timothy Street in Pierre Part, was arrested Thursday for theft of goods.
A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Stewart was released on a summons to appear in court on May 22. Lang was jailed and released on $2,000 bail.
—Justin R. Sons, 24, of the 400 block of Park Street in Patterson, was arrested Thursday for possession of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoids, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, abuse of toxic vapors, no driver’s license and failure to signal.
—Jessica D. Brown, 21, of the 3300 block of La. 1 in Raceland, was arrested Thursday for possession of Schedule I synthetic cannabinoids, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile and abuse of toxic vapors.
Narcotics division detectives were patrolling the Verdunville area when they conducted a traffic stop on La. 182 on a vehicle for failing to properly signal a turn. Detectives observed the passenger, Brown, grab an item and attempt to hide it on her, Hebert said. The item was found to be synthetic cannabinoids. Additional synthetic marijuana was located on her, Hebert said.
Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located more synthetic drugs inside. Detectives also located items of drug paraphernalia. A 2-year-old child was in the vehicle at the time of the investigation. The child was released to a guardian. Brown and Sons were jailed.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Dalton L. LaCoste, 17, of the 100 block of Shady Grove in Patterson, was arrested Thursday for simple battery involving domestic violence. LaCoste was transferred from the Berwick Police Department. LaCoste was jailed with no bail set at this time.
—Davonte J. Williams, 22, of the 400 block of Bowman Street in Morgan City, was arrested Thursday on a Morgan City police warrant for failure to appear for possession of marijuana and failure to appear for failure to pay probation fees, a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department warrant for seat belt violation and no driver’s license. Williams was jailed with no bail set at this time.
