Patterson man arrested for threatening calls, texts

A Patterson man was jailed for making threatening phone calls and sending threatening text messages to another man, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Frank Rock Jr., 26, of the 100 block of Andrew Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. Monday for four counts of telephone harassment.
A deputy investigating a complaint of telephone harassment learned that Rock was making threats to a male victim via telephone and text messages. Rock was located near his residence in Patterson. Rock was jailed with bail set at $2,000.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 47 complaints in the parish and the following arrest in east St. Mary Parish:
—Pamela S. Craigo, 44, of the 2200 block of Main Street in Patterson, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Monday for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a “knock and talk” investigation at the above listed address. Detectives discovered marijuana and rolling papers inside the residence, Hebert said. Craigo was released on a summons to appear in court on July 11.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Jarred Naquin, 19, of Houma, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Monday for traveling the wrong way on a one-way roadway and on a warrant from the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office for illegal possession of alcohol.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling west bound in the east bound lane of Brashear Avenue at Second Street. Police conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, Naquin. He was jailed.
—Chrissandra Thomas, 49, of Morgan City, was arrested at 7:13 a.m. today on a warrant for theft less than $300.
Police went to the 1700 block of Federal Avenue in an attempt to locate Thomas. She was jailed on $692 bail. Thomas is accused of entering a place of business Saturday and stealing about $80 from a tip jar, Banks said.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Lysander T. Williams, 45, of the 100 block of Banner Drive in Franklin, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Monday for flight with a vehicle, failure to signal a right turn, reckless operation of a vehicle, speeding 110 mph in a 55 mph zone, suspended driver’s license, stop sign violation, improper acceleration and a red light violation. Williams was jailed on $1,681 bail.
—Charles Merritt, 34, of the 400 block of Williams Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Monday on a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear for attempted unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Merritt was jailed with no bail set at this time.
Officers pursued Williams and Merritt in a vehicle that was speeding 110 mph in a 55 mph zone and traveling westbound on La. 182, LaSalle said.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
