Johnson signs with ULL
Morgan City High School’s Darryl Johnson signed with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Wednesday.
Johnson, a Morgan City high school standout on the defensive line, is expected to hold a signing ceremony soon during halftime during one of the Tigers’ home high school basketball game.
Johnson, who stands at 6-feet, 5-inches and weighs 310 pounds, is one of 11 Louisiana natives in the class.
He is also one of four defensive linemen.
Six of the university’s 21 signees received at three or more starts from at least one recruiting network while all 21 received a minimum of two stars. Johnson was ranked as a two-star prospect by both Scout.com and 247Sports.
