Clayton-Courtney exchange wedding vows
Danielle Renee’ Clayton and Jonathan Mark Courtney were united in matrimony at 7 p.m. July 19 at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. The Rev. Eric Leyble officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Alfred and Wendy Clayton of Patterson. The groom is the son of Greg and Kristie Courtney of Morgan City.
Music was by organist Manny Carlino and vocalist Margaret Kreider.
Offertory gifts were presented by Bob Courtney, Mike Clayton and Ann Courtney.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride wore a trumpet-style strapless gown embellished with lace appliques and iridescents.
Gracing her head was a veil of illusion.
Brandon Clayton was the bride’s man of honor. Bridesmaids were Chasity Clayton, Bethany Waters, Leah Peterson, Kodi Butler, Karla Troxler, Jamie Courtney, Kyli Butler and Chelse Willis.
Flower girls were Maya Joseph and Jillian Joseph.
Canaan Clayton was ringbearer.
Kerry Michel served as best man. Groomsmen were Josh Courtney, Blaine Crochet, Barron Courtney, Jordy Bias, Adam Courtney and Dustin Willis.
Ushering guest was Austin Courtney.
A reception followed at the Cypress Columns in Gray.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Fremin’s Restaurant in Thibodaux.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Patterson High School and a 2009 graduate of Nicholls State University. She is a teacher at Moss Bluff Middle School.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Morgan City High School and a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University. He is a process engineer at Phillips 66.
They honeymooned in St. Lucia and reside in Lake Charles.
