Cheryll Calloway, 56, a native of Houma and resident of Lafayette, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 7 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1830 Prospect Blvd., Houma, from 10 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Southdown Cemetery in Houma.
Cheryll has been a faithful servant of Jehovah God and been an encouragement to her friends and family since she dedicated her life in 1969. She was deeply loved and cherished by her family.
Cheryll leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Johnny J. Calloway; three daughters, Mrs. Shawn (Dana McPherson) Gradney, Mrs. Wilton (Crystal McPherson) Demouchet Jr. and Deidre McPherson, all of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Gilbert (Angie Mitchell) Parker of Houma; two brothers, Kirk A. (Pamela) Mitchell of Houma and Marvin E. (Michelle) Mitchell of Baton Rouge. Cheryll was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren: Dylan Chloe, Cole and Blake of Lafayette; and a host of relatives and many friends.
Cheryll was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Phyllis Sims Mitchell; a brother, Carlos G. Mitchell; her grandparents, Felix Sims Sr. and Levorn Wallis Sims and Hayes and Zenobia White Mitchell.
