Cashiers arrested on drug charges

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division reports the following arrests:

—Holly Marie Rhodes, 29, 109 Nicholas St., Berwick, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Wednesday for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, distribution of marijuana, possession of Schedule III (Lortab) with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone).

—Daryan Nicole Parvino, 20, 174 Burchfield Lane, Berwick, was arrested on at 8:19 p.m. Wednesday for possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone).

Agents of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted an investigation at the Country Club Express located on La. 182 in Berwick. During the course of the investigation agents learned that two cashiers at the gas station identified as Rhodes and Parvino were selling illegal drugs from the business. Agents located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, Lortab pills, and $1,174 in cash, all of which was seized pending forfeiture, the report stated.

Rhodes and Parvino were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail has been set.

According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour period his office responded to 50 complaints and reports the following arrests:

—Sandra Katherine Eidson, 47, 408 Laurel St., Morgan City, was arrested at 1:29 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of expired driver’s license. A deputy located Eidson at the Morgan City Police Department on the warrant. Eidson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $223.50 bail.

—Larry Lee Baker, 50, 234 Canton St., Berwick, was arrested at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of distribution of Buprenorphine. A deputy located Baker at the parish courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and jailed. No bail has been set.

—Jennifer Lazno, 34, 205 Neptune Road Apt. 4, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:54 p.m. Wednesday for domestic abuse battery.

—Hector Ramirez Jr., 35, 205 Neptune Road Apt. 4, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:54 p.m. Wednesday for domestic abuse battery.

A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the home. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that the couple had a verbal argument. Both Lazno and Ramirez appeared to have minor physical injuries. They were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bail has been set.
